ARC is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. Each bill is reviewed by a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). CPCs are trained and certified in procedural and diagnostic coding, medical terminology and human anatomy.

Medical bill review is much more than just data entry. Each bill is carefully reviewed by a CPC to determine:

• Were proper coding protocols followed?
• Does the CPT coding appear to correlate with the diagnostic coding?
• Is the coding utilized supported by documentation in the medical records / notes?
• Does the CPT code match the level of service provided?

ARC maintains current state fee schedule guidelines (updated monthly) and ground rules for all workers' compensation fee scheduled states. We also use the Ingenix Medical Data Research Usual, Customary and Reasonable (UCR) database to provide medical bill review for all types of claims including workers' compensation, auto, liability, etc.
